QuranLock ("we", "us") is an iOS app that helps you build a daily Quran habit by blocking distracting apps until you recite a verse. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. The short version: your Screen Time data and personal details never leave your device; we only receive anonymous usage analytics and subscription status.
Usage analytics (PostHog). We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. Events include things like "onboarding completed", "paywall viewed", or "verse recited", along with device type and app version. These events are not tied to your name, email, or any account, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Purchases (Apple & RevenueCat). Payments are processed entirely by Apple — we never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate your subscription status (an anonymous identifier, purchase history for this app, and subscription state).
Analytics events are retained by PostHog under our account and deleted on a rolling basis. Data stored on your device is deleted when you delete the app. If you are in the UK/EU, you have rights under GDPR including access, correction, and erasure of your personal data. Because our analytics are anonymous, we may not be able to link data to you — but contact us and we will do whatever we can.
QuranLock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
